Il progetto e’ stato eseguito in conformità a quanto previsto dal Decreto del Ministero dell’Industria e dell’Artigianato del 2/02/1990, decreto emanato in applicazione alla Legge 41/86 relativo alla concessione di agevolazioni per la realizzazione di mercati agro-alimentari all’ingrosso.
Le varie tipologie del mercato comprendono il mercato ortofrutticolo, il mercato ittico, il Cash & Carry, uffici amministrativi, centro ingressi, officine per un totale di merci movimentate di 6,5 Milioni di quintali annui.
The Head Office Management Facility for the Municipality of Rome’s New Central Wholesale Market has been designed and built to the most modern office building standards in Italy. This specific building is located in the Northwest corner of the Market Campus and develops a total gross surface area measuring sq. m. 16,736 organised over a total built area measuring sq. m. 7,138 for a total constructed volume above grade measuring cu. m. 69,590.
The Head Office Management Facility is organised in two separate areas developed from the positioning of two separate buildings positioned perpendicularly in a “L” form. The first building is dedicated to the offices of the consortium and the administrative and management offices and the other is dedicated to the housing of the management of the various market categories and their articulated organisations. The central zone of the union of these two buildings houses the Wholesale Market’s Congress Centre, which seats 370 people, a Post Office, several Banking Facilities, a Centralised Computer Management Facility, a First Aid Station, a Self Service Cafeteria, a Restaurant, Sanitary Services and Security Management Centre. The two wings are simply arranged in a four storied double loaded corridor system, which is designated for all of the various management offices.
